Yet More Turks.

The last couple have weeks have been quiet, painting wise, but I have managed a small amount of painting. I picked up a small number of TAG Ottoman Turks to try them out, and I have been suitably impressed. Obviously they are not like Hinchliffe figures, but they do make fine commanders.

In an effort to not lose every game that I will fight with the Turks, I have started to pad them out with some extra Jannissaries, these are my first efforts. I decided not to go for the usual dark blue, but opted for a green, just to add a bit more colour to the army, as if it will need any.

Some more of John's rebased Ottoman's, including a bombard and some Azabs. Cannon fodder by any other name.

Swiss Troops taking a rest.

When Jim Sweeny was up at my house the other week to inflict a defeat on me,he very kindly left a group of Perry figures that he had put together to make up a diorama. Well Ive managed to find the time to get them done, and I must admit they were a pleasure to paint up. The only question now is whether Jim will want them back. What I liked about these figures were their simplicity of dress, being very typical Swiss troop types.
