A few commanders.

Last month, Jim Sweeny an old war gaming acquaintance dropped in on his travels. He very kindly brought some spare? lead which he let me have.
So as promised Jim, I have painted one of the figures you left. The figure with the hawk was clearly an old Citidal/ Grenadier Miniatures type of figure and was a joy to paint. So just what I need, another command figure.I only hope he can role as required.

                                                     My latest French Commander.

Re based Turkish Spahis and Azabs. Painted by John Reidy in the 1980's and still looking good.

    1. Thanks Phil,
Re the Turks, John did these back in the early 1980's and I do think they have stood the test of time.

I see you project is progressing nicely, make certain you keep the pressure on Mr Jarvis though.

  3. Nice one mate, the figures been hanging around for 20 odd years waiting for a lick of paint, you've done him proud!
Like the Turks a lot, we'll have to come up for a game or you can come down here, let us know when you're up for it.
    Jim.

He is a great figure by the way, but somehow I know I am going to have to pay for your gift!
